IBM, Google, Amazon & Paypal – Jobs News
PayPal will create 35 highly-skilled jobs in Dublin. The online payments services provider is investing more than EUR15 million in its centre in Blanchardstown, where it currently employs around 900 staff. The investment comes following support from IDA Ireland under its Research, Development and Innovation programme.
IBM is to cut around 5,000 of its US staff with many jobs transferred to India.
Internet giant Google has disclosed it is cutting nearly 200 sales and marketing staff. The layoffs are the biggest in the company’s history outside of a merger restructuring.
Amazon.com is closing down distribution centres in three US states and will transfer or lay off around 210 staff.
