Origina to create 60 jobs in Sandyford Industrial Estate – Dublin Jobs
Thursday, May 8th, 2008IT services and consulting company – Origina will create 60 new jobs over the next 2 years in Dublin as part of a EUR3m investment. The jobs will be created at Sandyford Industrial Estate.
Origina is focusing on hiring various technical staff and IT consultants for the expansion. The majority of these staff will be based in Sandyford Industrial Estate and will increase the total staff employed by the company to 120.
The company was established in 1998 to manage data storage requirements for large Irish companies. Origina changed its name so that Irish and UK offices can compete across Europe under one brand name. The company intends to invest heavily building this brand.
Origina’s customers include the Department of Education & Science, Friends First and Eagle Star. Origina won the prize for IT Project of the Year (Public Sector) for its work with the Department of Education and Science at the 2008 ICT Awards. Origina worked with the department to build a large pay-roll and pension database for teachers in Ireland.
